The address your submission needs to be sent to is
LCSV4
26 Andrew MacDonald Close
Market Harborough
Leicestershire
LE16 7ED
United Kingdom
Submissions can be envelopes or packages which have been drawn on, painted , dipped in acid, covered in paper mache (anything you want really) but they must look amazing and they must have travelled though the post with the postman able to see the work, so you can’t paint a canvas and wrap it up and post it to me. The wrapping is your canvas or in most cases an envelope.Your limit is one submission per month. If you wanted to do a series over a number of months that would be great. Please only include your name, email address and website URL on the envelope or package and make sure it is on the opposite side to the artwork on envelopes and not part of the main work on packages. Please also include somewhere on the envelope or package the words ‘open me’ or ‘empty’, for example if you include a letter or anything else like additional doodles or something use the word ‘open me’. If there’s nothing inside use the word ‘empty’ and the package or envelope will not be opened.
The address can be part of your Artwork or not, the choice is at you discretion. Submissions will be accepted from anywhere in the world, but please do not send any artwork of a pornographic nature or include swear words, since my son will be picking up the mail some mornings. Right!
I look forward to seeing what you come up with, so get your stuff together and MAiLmeART!
All of the original submitted work will be for sale at the MAiLmeART exhibition and you will receive 70% from the sale. If your work does not sell at the exhibition your work will then be on sale on this site. In both cases you will need a Paypal account.
Update: Please do not put a value on your mail art or if you do have to, make it for $1. Customs charges are horrendous in the UK and they stick a giant very sticky sticker over your artwork
Please note: By submitting work to this project you are granting Darren Di Lieto-Danes an exclusive license for the work submitted being used in the promotion of this project on-line and in print, and the work in question being included in reproductions of the project that may or may not be published in the format of a book. Also including use for the promotion and advertising of a or any MAiLmeART related books. No payments will be made for the use of the work as stated above. If anyone wants more information about these terms please contact me directly using the contact form. The terms and conditions of this project are subject to change without notice.
